If Your Ring Doorbell Isn’t Working, Try This Simple Fix

Here are some of the simple fixes you can do; unplug the doorbell, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. If that doesn’t work, you may need to reset your Ring doorbell. To do this, press and hold the black reset button on the back of the doorbell for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, you should see the blue LED light on the front of your Ring Doorbell flash. Once it flashes, release the reset button and your Ring Doorbell will restart. If you’re still having issues, you can try factory resetting your Ring Doorbell.

Check to make sure your Ring doorbell is plugged in and turned on

Make sure your Ring doorbell is plugged in and turned on. The blue LED light on the front of your Ring Doorbell should be flashing. If it’s not, try unplugging the doorbell and plugging it back in. If your Ring Doorbell isn’t working, it could be because the batteries are low.

To check the batteries, remove the faceplate from the front of your Ring Doorbell. On the back of the faceplate, you’ll see a battery icon. If the battery icon is red, that means the batteries are low and need to be replaced. You can buy replacement batteries from the Ring website or from a local store.

Make sure your device has a strong Wi-Fi signal

If you’re still having issues with your Ring Doorbell, make sure your device has a strong Wi-Fi signal. If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, your Ring Doorbell may not work properly. You can try moving your Ring Doorbell closer to your router or modem to get a stronger signal.

If you’re still having issues with your Ring Doorbell, restart your router. To do this, unplug your router from the power outlet and wait 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, plug your router back in and wait a few minutes for it to turn on. Once your router is back on, check to see if your Ring Doorbell is working properly.

If you’ve tried all of the above and your Ring Doorbell still isn’t working, you can try factory resetting your device. To do this, press and hold the black reset button on the back of your Ring Doorbell for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds, you should see the blue LED light on the front of your Ring Doorbell flash. Once it flashes, release the reset button and your Ring Doorbell will restart.

Update the firmware on your Ring doorbell

If you’re still having issues with your Ring Doorbell, update the firmware on your Ring doorbell. To do this, open the Ring app and go to the menu. select “Device Settings” and then “ring doorbell”. Under “Firmware Version”, make sure your firmware is up to date. If it’s not, tap “Update Firmware” and follow the on-screen instructions. After the firmware is updated, restart your Ring Doorbell.

Change the angle of your Ring doorbell

If you’re still having issues with your Ring Doorbell, try changing the angle of your Ring doorbell. To do this, open the Ring app and go to the menu. select “Device Settings” and then “ring doorbell”. Tap “Change Angles” and follow the on-screen instructions. After the angles are changed, restart your Ring Doorbell.

If you’re still having issues with your Ring Doorbell, try moving your Ring doorbell closer to your router or vice versa. To do this, open the Ring app and go to the menu. select “Device Settings” and then “ring doorbell”. Tap “Move closer to router” or “Move closer to device” and follow the on-screen instructions. After the Ring doorbell is moved, restart your Ring Doorbell.
